Enjoy sailing and sightseeing with time to go ashore at Anchorage Beach, a great spot for a picnic or a swim. Join your water taxi in the afternoon and travel further north, cruising the coastline via Tonga Marine Reserve.
For those wishing to explore the Park further, arrangements can be made to go ashore at Tonga Quarry, enjoying a self-guided walk through lush native forest following the coastal track to Awaroa Lodge, your luggage transfer taken care of.
Spectacular scenery and sightseeing, expect to see secluded coves, golden sand beaches, pristine clear waters and native wildlife. Learn about the Abel Tasman National Park, its history, features and highlights, check out the famous Split Apple Rock for photos and visit Tonga Marine Reserve.
Note: This is a one way transfer between Kaiteriteri Beach and Awaroa Lodge and does not include your return ticket. Accommodation not included in ticket price.
- Meeting Place and Time: 9:30 am, Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures ticket booth, Kaiteriteri Beach.
- Departs & Returns: 10am Kaiteriteri Beach, Arrive at Awaroa Beach 2 pm (1 hour 45 min walk time not included).
- What's included: 2.5 hour skippered morning sailing tour, a packed lunch, complimentary tea & coffee on board catamaran, 45 minute afternoon water taxi journey, bag transfers (1 bag per person). Visit Fur Seal colony & Tonga Marine Reserve. Options to arrange additional self-guided walk from Tonga Quarry to Awaroa (1 hour 45 mins walk/ 4.7 km).
